How I Knew When Exactly To Publish "The Source Of The Wind"
Using intuition and astrology to launch my first novel.
As I had mentioned in my post about why I chose to self-publish my novel The Source of The Wind, I picked the date and time of my novel’s launch in a very particular way.
It was after 1.5 years of not touching the novel, that I received a very strong message and feeling that I must self-publish this novel and that it must be published in June 2025.
Since this happened in June 2024, that gave me a year to get ready for the launch - which I’m officially over halfway through.
And in this post I want to specify why I specifically chose the date and time of my novel’s launch.
Now, I'm not answering this question as an expert on the publishing industry (which I’m not, anyhow) or from any sort of business standpoint. I admittedly didn’t do market research about when is best to publish a women’s fiction novel and have no idea how that works.
The most I had done, whilst working on the many drafts, was sense that it would be a good idea to publish this novel in the early stages of summer - seeing how the novel takes place from the months February to August and the tone of the story is quite hopeful and optimistic.
No, no - the reasons I chose the date and time of my novel’s launch, have to do with astrology.

So when am I publishing this novel?
Drumroll please…
I am launching The Source of The Wind on June 6th 2025 at 12:00 IST.
After having a strong feeling that it needed to be in June 2025, I had quickly decided that June 6th at 12:00 IST would be the best time. I believe I have shared the launch date before, in my post on how I birthed The Source of The Wind. But I certainly haven’t shared why I picked this date.
So, let’s get into it.
Transit Jupiter Trining My Natal Jupiter By Degree
When I was meditating that evening, (the meditation where I received the message to self-publish the novel and when) my mind had wandered to the knowledge that Jupiter is currently transiting Gemini. Jupiter, being the planet of luck, and Gemini, being the sign of communication and writing, felt like a good transit to use to publish a book.
Later, I thought of my own Jupiter placement (which is in Libra), and thought to myself, “Man, it would be cool if I could publish the novel when Jupiter was making a positive aspect to my own Jupiter.”
And then it dawned on me that Gemini trines Libra (trines being a very positive aspect), and that means that the transit Jupiter will trine my natal Jupiter in this upcoming year!
We had just entered the Jupiter in Gemini transit and my Jupiter in Libra is on the last degree of 29 degrees. Which means that if I want to publish The Source Of The Wind when the transit Jupiter is positively aspecting my natal Jupiter by degree, that will happen in one year's time. Which I felt was enough time for me to get everything in order and ready for the launch.
When the transit Jupiter trines your natal Jupiter, it suggests a period where there are opportunities for growth and positive developments happen with ease. Because this aspect is happening in the exact degree of my own Jupiter, it makes this trine even more powerful and impactful.
With the transit Jupiter of this date happening in the 29th degree of Gemini, it also means that very soon after this date (on July 10th to be exact), Jupiter enters Cancer, which is my 9th house. Which means that I enter a transit where I experience luck, expansion and good fortune (Jupiter) in the realm of publishing (9th house). This Jupiter transit starts just before my summer holidays as a music teacher in schools and nurseries, so I will hopefully be able to dedicate my summer to getting the ball rolling on promoting The Source Of The Wind.
The Sun, Mercury and Jupiter Are All in Gemini
As I mentioned earlier, Gemini is the sign of communication, expression, ideas, information and the written word.
Jupiter transiting Gemini is a favourable time for publishing a book and signals the possibility of the book reaching farther than its initial audience, due to Jupiter's expansive quality. But pair that with the Sun and Mercury also being in Gemini, and you get a Stellium that amplifies communication and expression with positive expansion, joy and dynamic energy. (Stelliums are when at least 3 planets come together in one sign, making the themes of the sign and house extra prominent; with all of those planetary bodies working together).
The Sun is about core essence, personality and vitality. As a luminary body, it lights up what it touches and imbues it with joy. With the Sun in Gemini, communication, expression and ideas become illuminated, often leaving a positive impact on those who engage with it.
Mercury in Gemini is extra special, because Mercury as a planet is all about communication, expression and getting the word out. It's fast, dynamic and can offer a person interesting and complex insights. It's actually the planet that rules Gemini; so having Mercury in the sign it rules, is a very positive placement and signals the possibility of the novel encouraging thought-provoking discussions and reflections for its readers.
I liked the idea of having all the positive energy of Jupiter, Sun and Mercury in the sign that rules communication, expression and the written word, when I launch my novel.
10th House Stellium in Gemini
Noticing this positive Stellium, I thought, “In which house would I like for all that good energy to be in?”. Seeing as I want for this novel to be as widely known as possible, I decided to pick the most public astrological house for the Stellium - the 10th house.
The tenth house is the house of career, reputation, public image and work in the world. Having Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in the 10th house of Gemini, gives the book a possible public image and reputation of being uplifting, expanding and intriguing. It is certainly my hope that the themes and takeaways of this novel leave that impression on its readers.
To put the Stellium in the 10th house, I chose the hour of the launch to be 12:00pm. The Sun (which is a part of this particular Stellium) is always in the 10th house at 12:00pm, of any given day. The sign however changes, depending on what astrological season we’re in.
Mercury is also the Chart Ruler
If Gemini is the 10th house, it means that the ascendant (and first house) is in Virgo. Virgo is a methodical and analytical sign, very good with details and organisation. But it's also ruled by Mercury, along with Gemini being ruled by Mercury.
If Virgo is the ascendant, that means that Mercury is the chart ruler (the chart ruler being the planet that rules the ascendant and therefore, the most important planet of the chart).
With Mercury being the chart ruler of this launch, it means that Mercury holds extra importance and gives an extra boost to every Mercurial presence and aspect in the chart.
Transit Mercury Sextiles Natal Midheaven
Along with trines, sextiles are another positive aspect in astrology, offering good compatibility and excitement.
The Midheaven is the point in the chart that determines our public image; the parts of us that the outer world easily sees and the role we play in the public. My midheaven is in Leo, so that makes me a performer, creator and leader in the world, revealing my warmth and entrepreneurial nature in the work I do.
With the transit Mercury sextiling my natal Midheaven, the communication and expression during this time period, will be compatible with who I naturally am on the public stage. Opportunities and exciting energy might be available to support and reveal my outwardly Leo nature, by communicating, expressing and sharing the ideas and themes of this novel.
When choosing the specific date and time for the release of my novel, I was mostly following my intuition which lead me to sensing that it would be the best to publish my novel in early June.
It was looking at the specific transits and how they would affect my natal chart, that led me to choosing June 6th 2025 at 12:00 IST, specifically.
Since, I’m still a few months away from pressing publish, I don’t know fully what road the novel will take, once it’s out in the world. I have my guesses and my hopes, which I’ve laid out above, but I don’t really know. Heck, I might get closer to the day and suddenly feel that I need to change the hour, or a choose a different day.
I don’t know.
Once this novel is out in the world, it will have its own life and experiences, without me being privy to its interactions.
But I hope it will meet those who will enjoy it. Who will treasure the story and receive the magic that I believe it contains.
And, aside from dedicating years to crafting the best story I can and doing my part as the author - I hope the launch date and hour I picked, will support it on its publication journey, fulfilling whatever purpose it has.
Have you used astrology to time a specific event in your life or business? Or have you followed your intuition towards picking the right day, and later discovered the astrology was perfect? How do you feel about using esoteric systems such as astrology, to schedule important events?
